Hello! My name is Lauren and I am a recent graduate of the University of California, Santa Barbara. I finalized my Biology B.A. in the Fall of 2022 through the College of Creative Studies, focusing on Ecology, Evolution, and Marine Biology. Alongside my degree, I completed minors in Statistics and Professional Writing for Science Communication.

My research at UCSB mainly focuses on marine invertebrate aquaculture and fisheries. While most of my experience is in the realm of marine biology, I am also very interested in herpetology, behavioral ecology, and invasion biology. In the future, I plan to apply to graduate school to pursue a Ph.D. in one of these fields.

In addition to studying biology, I am passionate about communicating the science I have learned to the public. This website is dedicated to showcasing my work in science communication during my time at UCSB and for the Professional Writing Minor in Science Communication.
