I spent the fall of 2021 camping, traveling, and researching several species in California with the UC NRS field ecology course, California Ecology and Conservation. This research paper is my final project for the class. Alongside my peers, I designed and conducted an observational study of acorn woodpecker behavior at Sedgewick Reserve in Santa Ynez, CA.

REEFlections is an annual event where undergraduate interns at the REEF can present their research. My talk utilized both storytelling and humor, and was focused on a project conducted during winter and spring 2021 in the Culver lab on rock scallop aquaculture.
